Funeral Director/Supervisor
Adrianna Slater (formerly Adrianna Adams) is a dedicated Funeral Director and Supervisor at d’Argy Family Funeral Homes, where she proudly serves the Brookville community, a place with deep familial ties that brought her back to her roots. A native of Grove City, Adrianna graduated from Grove City High School in 2015 before pursuing higher education at Thiel College and the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Business in 2019.
Adrianna began her career at d'Argy Family Funeral Homes immediately after graduation, starting as an intern and quickly proving her dedication and expertise. By December 2020, she had achieved her official licensing, marking the beginning of her journey as a trusted funeral director.
In 2024, Adrianna and her husband, Luke Slater, welcomed their first child, further deepening their connection to the Brookville community. Outside of her professional life, Adrianna enjoys spending quality time with Luke, their newborn, and their three beloved dogs.

Madison R. McAninch is a proud native of Brookville, where she was born and raised. A graduate of Brookville Jr/Sr High School’s class of 2020, Madison continued her education at Lock Haven University before discovering her passion for funeral service. In January 2021, she joined d'Argy Family Funeral Homes, where she found her calling as a future funeral director.
Madison graduated from Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in January of 2025 and she completed her internship in January of 2026. Her dedication to her career is matched by her involvement in the community; she is an active member of the local all-women's gym, M Power Fitness, and lends a hand in her family’s business, KMK Cee Through Windows.
Madison enjoys a full life in the Brookville area, where she spends her free time with her beloved cat, dogs, and family: her significate other: Bryce and their newborn son. Her commitment to compassionate service and her deep roots in the community make her a valuable part of the d'Argy Family Funeral Homes team.
Funeral Assistant
Before joining the d'Argy Family Funeral Homes team, Cheryl Burford brought her expertise to a variety of roles in the Brookville area, including her significant work as a Med Tech at Brookville Hospital. With deep roots in the community, Cheryl is a passionate supporter of the Brookville Raiders, frequently volunteering her time to assist with local sporting events and always cheering on the team.
Cheryl’s love for staying active extends beyond her professional life. She cherishes every moment spent with her grandchildren, embodying a spirit of dedication both at work and at home. Her involvement in the community and her commitment to family make Cheryl a valued member of d'Argy Family Funeral Homes and the Brookville area.

Kevin Bickle brings a wealth of experience and dedication to the d'Argy Family Funeral Homes team. A retired Brookville Police Officer, Kevin served the community with distinction for 37 years, rising to the rank of sergeant. His commitment to public service extended beyond the police force, as he also served with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, culminating in over four decades of combined law enforcement experience.
After his well-deserved retirement, Kevin was welcomed into the d'Argy Family Funeral Homes as a valued member of the support staff by Jacob d'Argy. Known for his deep ties to the Brookville community, Kevin takes great pleasure in reconnecting with old friends and familiar faces, reflecting his enduring commitment to the town he served for so many years.
Kevin stays active and enjoys exploring the beauty of the Brookville area by biking along the Redbank Rails to Trails. He and his wife, Cory, reside in their Brookville home, where they continue to be an integral part of the community they love.
Support Staff
Sam Bundy has deep roots in the area, having grown up near Falls Creek and now residing in Soldier, close to Sykesville. An Air Force veteran, Sam began his career in broadcasting at WCED/WOWQ radio stations in 1980. His passion for education led him to graduate from Clarion University in 1985 and begin a long and impactful teaching career in the DuBois Area School District in 1993. Sam furthered his expertise by earning a Master’s degree in 2007, continuing to inspire students until his retirement in 2018.
Beyond his contributions to education, Sam is an ordained minister through the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, serving as pastor at the Reynoldsville CMA Church. He also channels his dedication to the community through his business, White Pine Media LLC, which publishes the “Reynlow Community News.”
Sam’s commitment to community service is reflected in his active participation on several boards of directors, including the Reynoldsville Community Association, Reynoldsville Veteran's Memorial Park, and Reynoldsville Library. Additionally, Sam holds the position of Vice Commander of the DuBois Area Honor Guard, further demonstrating his dedication to honoring fellow veterans.
Married to his wife, Cynthia, for 40 years, Sam is the proud father of three children, all of whom have followed in his footsteps as educators, and he cherishes his role as a grandfather to three grandchildren.

Carol Emery has been a cherished member of the d'Argy Family Funeral Homes team for years, known for her warm, welcoming smile as she graciously greets guests at viewings and services. Her genuine care for the community has made her a familiar and comforting presence, helping to anchor the funeral home as a place of solace during difficult times.
Before joining d'Argy Family Funeral Homes, Carol built a strong career in the energy sector, specializing in natural gas pipeline operations. Her transition into the funeral service industry has allowed her to combine her professional expertise with her love for people, making a positive impact on all who meet her.
Outside of her work, Carol enjoys outdoor activities and cherishes time spent with family and friends. Her passion for life and dedication to service have endeared her to both her colleagues and the community.

Brady Snyder is a uniquely talented and driven young man, dedicated to following in the footsteps of his grandfather, Bernie Snyder, as he embarks on his journey to becoming a funeral director. A proud graduate of DuBois Central Catholic in 2024, Brady is currently pursuing a business degree at Penn State DuBois, with plans to further his education at mortuary school.
A lifelong resident of DuBois, Brady has already distinguished himself as a member of the National Honor Society and achieved the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout. His commitment to excellence extends beyond academics, as he was also an active member of the DCC Rifle Team and a devoted lifelong member of St. Mary's Parish in Reynoldsville.
Brady’s goal-oriented nature and strong work ethic make him a valuable addition to the d'Argy Family Funeral Homes team. We are truly blessed to have such a promising young individual who shares our dedication to compassionate service and community.
