William “Willy” E. Thompson III, 67, of Reynoldsville, PA, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025, while at his home. Willy was born on May 4, 1957, to the late William E. Jr., and Ruth (Swab) Thompson, in DuBois, PA. He graduated from the DuBois Area High School. He proudly served with the National Guard during World War II for four years. Willy worked as military police at a base out of Georgia. He was also the maintenance supervisor at Armagost Steel and DuBois Hospital. Willy married Glenda Mowrey on May 28, 1977, in Falls Creek, PA; Glenda preceded him in passing. Willy was a member of the Elks in DuBois, Pulaski, and the Sandy Hose Company. Willy loved his truck and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson. He also enjoyed being outside, hunting and fishing. Willy is survived by one brother: Mark Thompson; one nephew: Robert Thompson; and three nieces: Patty Thompson, Nicole Alexandria Jones, and Marcie Ann. He is also survived by his friends: Moses and Karen Vasilauskas. In addition to his parents and wife, Willy is preceded in passing by his infant baby girl and several aunts and uncles. Following Willy’s wishes, there will be no public services. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Snyder – d’Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851.
