William “Bill” Jackson Procious, 90, of Brookville, PA, passed away during the morning hours of Friday, August 11, 2023, while at his home. Bill was born on July 15, 1933, to the late William Harrison Procious and Mildred Levina Procious McGarey in Brookville, PA. Bill graduated from Brookville High School and went on to work for the National Fuel Gas Company for forty-one years. He married Martha Knapp Procious on September 12, 1958, in Brookville; Martha survives him. Bill proudly served his country with the United States Army, serving active duty during the Korean Conflict. He was also in the Army Reserves where he reached the rank of Sergeant First Class. His total military service spanned twenty-six years. He was a member of the Brookville American Legion and Evangelical United Methodist Church. He had a strong faith in God. Bill is survived by three children; Randon Procious; Sherry Humble; Ronald (Denise) Procious; two siblings; Helen Woods; Shirley Krolick; two grandchildren; Julie (Shane) Prutznal; Rachel (Zach) Beatty; and two great grandchildren; Evelyn Prutznal; and Claire Prutznal. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in passing by one sister; Ruth Troup. Family and friends will be received on Monday, August 14, 2023, from 11am to 1pm, at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825. A funeral service will be held immediately following the viewing, beginning at 1:00pm and officiated by Pastor Loren McQueen. Interment will take place at Lakelawn Memorial Park, Winslow twp., Jefferson Co., PA.
