William Smith Jr. Obituary

William Dale Smith, Jr. (Bill) was born on March 27, 1955, the son of William Dale Smith, Sr. and Shirley Joanne Smith in Victorville, CA at George Air Force Base. He grew up in California and Brookville, PA and was a 1973 Brookville High School graduate. He married Judy Schulz on April 3, 1992, in Topeka, KS. Bill was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Gallatin Ward. He served three missions for the Church: at the Independence Missouri Employment Center, in Baton Rouge Louisiana and at Adam-Ondi-Ahman in Jameson Missouri.  Bill was always looking to learn something new; he studied everything. He had a very mechanical mind and enjoyed working on vehicles; he enjoyed a challenge. Bill loved his family more than anything. His parents, siblings, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were extremely important to him.   He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his daughter, Jody Huske, his father, William Dale Smith, Sr., his brother Steven Allen Smith, and his stepmother Jean Weick.  He is survived by his wife, Judy Smith of Gallatin, MO; children, Christy Hinkson (David) of Logan, UT, Mark Riches (Jennifer) of Cookeville, TN, Wendy Riches of Gallatin, MO, Debby Moon (Scott) of Provo, UT, Roy Huske of Topeka, KS, Troy Smith (Kristi) of Topeka, KS, and Mike Riches (Ally) of Bentonville, AR; 34 grandchildren; his mother, Joanne Chesnutt of Brookville, PA; and siblings, Teresa Bullers (Terry) of Brookville, PA, Robert Smith (Mary) of Brookville, PA, Patricia Gillespie (William) of Randallstown, MD, Tina Zimmerman (Timothy) of Brookville, PA and DeeRose Crissman of Ohio. 34 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members also survive.
