Wilbert Wayne Schuckers, 90, of Reynoldsville, PA, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023, while a patient at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. He was born on March 24, 1933, to the late Walter Daniel and Marena (Gaul) Schuckers in Hormtown, PA. He married Kathryn Murray Davis and spent the last thirty years of his life enjoying every day with her; Kathryn survives him. He graduated from Reynoldsville High School. Wilbert proudly served his country with the US Navy. He worked for many years at Fairman Drilling Company until his retirement. He was a member of American Legion Post #392, as well as the National Rifle Association, and Jefferson County Bee Association. Wilbert loved his hometown and specifically enjoyed his time spent in nature. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed collecting firearms. He also loved working with his hands and was known for his woodworking. He was also a very proud beekeeper. Wilbert will be dearly missed by many. In addition to his wife, Wilbert is survived by three children; Dan (Donna) Schuckers; Pam (Jim) Caltagarone; Dave (Jenifer) Schuckers; one sister; Nora Gelnett; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and several great great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Wilbert was preceded in passing by one brother; Walter Schuckers Jr.; and two sisters; Hazel and an unnamed infant. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, November 30, 2023, from 2pm to 4pm at the Snyder – d’Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation, beginning at 4pm and officiated by Pastor Sam Bundy.
