Wade A Cochran Jr.

Wade A. Cochran Jr., 80, of Brookville, PA, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Wade was born on December 13, 1942, to the late Wade A. Cochran Sr., and Sara E. (Dykes) Cochran in Brookville, PA. He graduated from the Brookville Area High School with the Class of 1960. He continued his education at Williams Technical School and Erie County Community College. Wade married Sheila Lynn Licht on December 20, 1963, in Elmira, NY; Sheila survives him. Wade worked for Remington Rand, Kennedy Valve, St. Mary’s Manufacturing, and General Motors. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Brookville, the Balsa Dusters Flying Club, and several Radio-Controlled Airplane Clubs. Wade was a avid model airplane hobbyist and a car enthusiast. He loved to do mechanical work. Wade enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping with his family. Wade also loved playing Canasta. In addition to his wife Sheila, Wade is survived by three sons: Steven W. (Jacquelyn) Cochran of North Tonawanda, NY, Kenneth A. (Roxanne) Cochran of North Tonawanda, NY, and Brian L. (Aimee) Cochran of Suffolk, VA. Wade is also survived by six grandchildren: Christopher (Brittany) Cochran, Mitchell Cochran, Sara (Derek) Blanchard, Taylor Cochran, Mary Cochran, and Aidan Cochran; and three great-grandchildren: Amelia Cochran, Willow Cochran, and Jack Blanchard. In addition to his parents, Wade is preceded in passing by one sister: Lucille Winters; and three brothers: Arthur Eugene Cochran, Jimmy Lee Cochran, and Harry Cochran. Family and friends will be received on Friday, March 10, 2023, from 4pm to 8pm at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at the First Baptist Church, 101 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825, beginning at 11am and officiated by Pastor David Blair. Interment will take place at Richardsville Cemetery, Warsaw Twp., Jefferson Co., PA.
