Theresa Frances (Tronzo) Uvena

Theresa Frances (Tronzo) Uvena, 95, of Punxsutawney, PA, passed away on December 1, 2022, while a resident of Christ the King Manor in DuBois, PA. She was born on March 27, 1927, to the late Gasper and Bellina (Martino) Tronzo in Punxsutawney, PA. Theresa graduated from Punxsutawney Area High School. She worked for Tronzo’s Market and was produce manager at Comet Market. Theresa married Orlando Angelo Uvena on June 30, 1948, in Punxsutawney; Orlando preceded her in passing on May 10, 1989. She was a member of the Ss. Cosmas & Damian Roman Catholic Church in Punxsutawney where she often volunteered for SSCD school lunches and Bingo. She enjoyed seamstress work and baking. Theresa is survived by one daughter; Sandra (Jeffery) Anderson of Punxsutawney, PA; one grandson; Philip (Kristi) Anderson; and two great – grandchildren; Brooks O. F. Anderson and Andi L. Anderson. She is also survived by numerous nephews and one niece; Louis Tronzo, Alfred Tronzo, Thomas Tronzo, Les Tronzo, Craig Tronzo, and Yvonne Grace. Theresa was the last surviving member of her family and is preceded in passing by her parents, husband, and all her siblings. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, December 4, 2022, from 2pm to 5pm, at the Fait – d’Argy Funeral Home, 117 N. Jefferson St., Punxsutawney, PA 15767. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, December 5, 2022, at the Ss. Cosmas & Damian Roman Catholic Church, 616 W. Mahoning St., Punxsutawney, PA 15767, beginning at 11am and officiated by Father Matias “Matt” Quimno. In leu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to a charity of the donor’s choice. Interment will take place at the Calvary Cemetery, Punxsutawney, Jefferson Co., PA.
