Teresa (Guthrie) Smith

Teresa (Guthrie) Smith, 75, of Brookville, PA, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023, during a brief stay at the McKinley Health Center in Brookville. Teresa was born on February 22, 1948, to the late Joseph and Pearl (Carberry) Guthrie in Akron, OH. She graduated from Brookville Area High School with the class of 1966. Teresa married Wayne Smith, on February 27, 1975, in Sigel, PA. Teresa was a hostess and server at Howard Johnson and then a dietary aide at the Jefferson Manor. She loved trips to Las Vegas and spending time with her grandchildren. Teresa is survived by her two sons; Jeremy Smith of Las Vegas, NV; Matthew (Christina Gibbs) Smith of Brookville, PA; four siblings; Catherine (John) Mester; Margaret (Joseph) Olivieri; John (Janet) Guthrie; Patricia (Barry) Drangel; and two grandsons; Chase and Cash Smith. Teresa was preceded in passing by her parents and husband. Services will be held privately and have been entrusted to the McKinney – d’Ary Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA.
