Steven Arnold Boddorf, 71, of Summerville, PA, passed away during the evening hours of Thursday, October 31, 2024, while at home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on December 7, 1952, to the late Louden R. and Mary Lucille “Mary Lu” (Gray) Boddorf in Brookville, PA. Steven graduated from the Brookville Area High School. He proudly served with the United States Air Force. Steven married Thongmeant Boontaeng on April 17, 1976, in Lake Tahoe, NV; Thoy survives him. Steven was a heavy equipment operator in his earlier years. He then worked as a machine operator at Miller Welding and Machine, retiring in 2013. He was a member of the Ohl United Methodist Church. Steven loved Harley Davidson’s and tinkering with tractors. He enjoyed old muscle cars and riding his side by side with his grandchildren. Steven was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed being outdoors hunting deer and bear. He was a good man that didn’t have a mean bone in his body, he got along with everyone. He also enjoyed visiting his neighbors. Above all else, he adored his grandchildren. Steven will be dearly missed by all that knew him. In addition to his wife, Steven is survived by three children: Jamie L. (Adam) Steele of Brookville, PA, Angie J. (Scott) Koehle of Peoria, AZ, John P. (Brittany) Boddorf of Summerville, PA; six grandchildren: Hunter Roney, Chase Koehle, Reagan Koehle, Elijah Koehle, Colton Boddorf, Jett Steele; one sister: Mary Ann Koller; and one brother: Gregory Boddorf. In addition to his parents, Steven is preceded in passing by one brother: John G. Boddorf. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm, at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825. A funeral service will take place, also at the funeral home, on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, beginning at 11am. Military Honors will be rendered by the Brookville Area Honor Guard. Interment will take place at Bethlehem – Lutheran Cemetery, Ohl, Jefferson Co., PA. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
