Sandra Snyder Obituary

Sandra Dianne Snyder of Lake Havasu, Arizona, went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 15, 2023. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Sandra was the daughter of the late Mabel and Clyde Hepler, and was born April 11, 1941, at her home in Timblin, PA. Sandra graduated from Punxsutawney High School in 1959 and married Gary Snyder on May 14, 1960, in Ringgold, PA. The two were married for 63 years. She worked various jobs throughout her life beginning at PRAMCO in Punxsutawney and held different secretarial positions within the banking and medical fields. She also operated her own store, West by Southwest, in Brookville and Sykesville prior to her retirement in Lake Havasu City, AZ. One of Sandra’s lifelong enjoyments was singing. She began singing as a child in church with her father and continued her love for singing through karaoke with her husband and many friends in Arizona. Sandra also enjoyed watching Penn State football and in her earlier years, roller skating and line dancing. Most of all, she loved being among her family and friends. Sandra was preceded in death by her brother, Don Hepler and sister, Doris Dinger. Surviving relatives include her husband Gary Snyder of Lake Havasu, AZ, two sons, Kurt Snyder of Punxsutawney, PA, and Kevin (Denise) Snyder of Eighty Four, PA, two grandchildren, Kayla (Dave) DeLallo of McMurray, PA and Courtney Snyder of Eighty Four, PA, and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Marilyn (Burt) Euliano of Sarasota, FL, and Patricia (Denny) Doverspike of Dayton, PA. She will be especially missed by her “phone buddy”, Courtney, who made several daily calls to her Grandma Snyder. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, from 1pm to 4pm at the Snyder – d’Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation, beginning at 4pm and officiated by Pastor Jimmy Swogger. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to your local Make-a-Wish or to “Always-B-Smiling” (https://www.alwaysbsmiling.org/donate-page.html).
