Rita "Kaye" Maloney, 76, of Punxsutawney, PA, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025, peacefully with her family by her side. Born on October 14, 1948, in Punxsutawney, she was the daughter of the late John Francis and Miriam Arlene (Hippchen) Maloney.
Kaye dedicated her life to helping others through her work as a medical technician, spending over 50 years in blood banking at Clearfield Hospital. Her dedication to her profession and her community was unwavering. She was also proud to have completed her associate's degree, a reflection of her determination and love of learning.
A woman of quiet faith, Kaye attended Olivesburg Presbyterian Church. She had a deep love for animals, especially her two beloved cats, and supported animal rescue efforts whenever she could. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling and exploring new places.
Kaye is survived by her siblings: John Maloney Jr., Jean Maloney, and Lisa McGee and her husband Tom. She also leaves behind her nieces: Jordan and Lauren; her nephew: Brandon; as well as many cherished extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
In honor of her love for animals, memorial contributions may be made to an animal rescue organization of the donor's choice.
All services will be private, and she will be laid to rest at Circle Hill Cemetery.
