Richard Wayne Bowser, 76, of Punxsutawney, PA, passed away on March 23, 2025, while at his home. Richard was born on September 5, 1948, to the late George Coalburn Bowser. He married the love of his life, Judy Kay Lingenfelter, in June of 1971 in Punxsutawney; Judy preceded him in passing in 2012. Richard was a truck driver, coal miner, and construction worker. He was a jack of all trades and could fix almost anything. He also enjoyed crossword puzzles. Richard is survived by two daughters: Dawnette Bowser and Candace Bowser both of Punxsutawney; two siblings: Joyce Bowser of Erie, PA, and George Bowser Jr. of Brookville, PA; and three grandchildren: Devon Kessler, Alexis (Jerad) Miller, and Haden Roy all of Punxsutawney. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren: Drake Miller, Noah Miller, and Jamenson Miller. In addition to his father and wife, Richard is preceded in passing by sister: Alberta Ruth Wells; step-sister: Sandra London; and step-mother: Annabelle Bowser. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, from 10am to 12pm, at the Fait – d’Argy Funeral Home, 117 N. Jefferson St., Punxsutawney, PA 15767. A funeral service will be held immediately following the viewing, beginning at 12pm. Final interment will take place next to his beloved wife at Davis Cemetery, Punxsutawney, Jefferson Co., PA.
