Olivia Mary (Brocious) Long

Olivia Mary Long of Fredericksburg passed away on April 29, 2024 at the age of 83. She was born in Summerville, PA to Harold Brocious and Mary Helen Bennett Brocious. Olivia moved from Summerville at the age of 19 to Brookville, where she met her husband, John Reitz. They were married for 35 years until his passing in 1992. She worked as a teacher’s aide at Hickory Grove Elementary in her earlier years, and then as an administrative secretary at the Brookville Area Hospital until 2001, when she married Joe Long, and moved to Texas. She is survived by her daughter Melissa Hentnik and husband Robert of Fredericksburg, TX, as well as 6 grandchildren: Ricky Reitz, Ashley Allen, John Allshouse, Michael Allshouse, Careen Fullerton, and Robert Hentnik, Jr. and 4 great grandchildren: Skylein and Annabelle Allen, and Rachel and Henry Fullerton. She was preceded in death by her first husband John Reitz as well as her second husband Joe Long, and a grandchild in infancy, Melinda Raddatz. The family will have a graveside service at 2pm on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Lakelawn Memorial Park in Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania where she will be buried with her husband, John Reitz. Funeral arrangements have been handled by Fredericksburg Funeral Home in Texas and Snyder-d'Argy Funeral Home in Pennsylvania. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of one’s choice.
