Melvin Lloyd Keagle, 99, of DuBois, PA, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023, while a patient at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. He was born on August 22, 1924, to the late Azor Leroy and Mathilda (Biggie) Keagle in Rathmel, PA. Melvin married Patricia LaRue Rupp on July 30, 1955, in Vandergrift, PA; Patricia survives him. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, he devoted nearly his entire lifetime to teaching Bible truths. Most recently he was a member of the Brookville congregation. In addition to his wife, Melvin is survived by one daughter; Connie (John) Crana; two siblings; Donna Whitely; Letha Kohn; two grandchildren; Benjamin (Dina) Crana; Gregory (Sarah) Crana; and two great grandchildren; Caden Crana; and Anzley Crana. In addition to his parents, Melvin was preceded in passing by two brothers; Sheldon Keagle; Clifford Keagle; and one sister; Dora Matthews. Services will be held privately for the family and have been entrusted to the Snyder – d’Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851.
