Our beloved Mother, Mary Elizabeth (Egan) Delaney, age 103, passed into the arms of Our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, August 16, 2022. A current resident of Christ the King Manor in DuBois, PA, she had lived most of her life in Reynoldsville, PA.
Born June 24, 1919, she was the daughter of Daniel P. and Margaret (Caulfield) Egan and the last surviving of their thirteen children. On June 19, 1946, she wed Kenneth Patrick Delaney, who preceded her in passing on March 29, 1997.
She is survived by her four children, Mary Anne (Rembrandt) Jackson, W. Patrick (Candyce) Delaney, Terence “Terry” (Stacy) Delaney, and Dennis Delaney. Additionally, dear to her heart are her grandchildren, Brendan (Michele) Wesdock, Betsy Wesdock, Casey (Kenny) Wesdock, Sean (Kristen) Delaney, Erin Delaney, Rachelle Delaney, Daniel (Lacey) Delaney, and great – grandchildren, Sage Rupp, Kyra Mollura, Noah Wesdock, Jack Wesdock, Connor Delaney, and Ryan Delaney. Through her lifetime, Mary was a beloved friend and substitute Mother to her nieces, nephews, and neighbors.
A devout Catholic throughout her life, Mary was a blessing to all who came to know her. Her full attention and loving heart endeared her to many, who often sought her company and her advice. Her passing, although joyous, will leave a vacuum in many hearts.
