Martha Jean (Knapp) Procious

Martha Jean (Knapp) Procious, 87, of Brookville, PA, passed away during the early morning hours of Monday, December 30, 2024, while a resident at the McKinley Health Center in Brookville. Martha was born on September 23, 1937, to the late Arthur and Marie (Hice) Knapp in Brookville. She graduated from the Brookville Area School District. Martha married William “Bill” Procious on September 12, 1958, in Brookville; Bill preceded her in passing on August 11, 2023. Martha had a very important job as homemaker, taking care of her husband, children, and home. She was a member of the Brookville Evangelical Methodist Church. Martha is survived by three children: Randon Procious of Erie, PA, Sherry Humble of Punxsutawney, PA, and Ronald (Denise) Procious of Duncannon, PA; two grandchildren; Julie (Shane) Prutznal; Rachel (Zach) Beatty; two great grandchildren; Evelyn Prutznal; and Claire Prutznal; and baby Beatty on the way. In addition to her parents and husband, Martha is preceded in passing by five siblings: Harold Knapp, Chester Knapp, Homer Knapp, Evelyn Thomas, and Alton Knapp. All services will be held privately to the family and have been entrusted to the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825. Interment will take place at Lakelawn Memorial Park, Winslow Twp., Jefferson Co., PA. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Brookville Evangelical Methodist Church, 30 S.
