Martha “Janie” (Wells) Frantz, 71, of Falls Creek, PA, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025, while at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in New Kensington, PA and was the daughter of the late Everett and Maggie (Henry) Wells. Martha was protestant by faith. Martha married Lawernce H. Frantz on June 27, 1992; Lawernce preceded her in passing. She worked at the DuBois Village and Christ the King Manor. She was a member of the Moose Chapter 1981, American Legion #1586, and the Hastings Volunteer Fire Co #1. Martha liked to talk to people, listening to Polka on Sundays, dancing, puzzles, painting, gardening, crocheting, and bowling. Above all else, she loved to spend time with her family and friends. Martha is survived by two sons: Eugene “Buddy” (Mary) Neiswonger III of Brockport, PA, and Richard “Rich” Neiswonger of Falls Creek, PA; two sisters: Beverly “Ruthie” (Danny) Hurkes of Bradford, PA, and Dollinda Lash of Ohio; and one brother: Andrew Eugene (Brenda) Wells. Martha is also survived by eleven grandchildren; Samantha, Chelsey, Bittany (Jessie), Matthew (Casey), Shane, Adia, Gerome (Brittany), Kameo, Shantell, Carolynn, and Blaze; ten great-grandchildren; Gracie, Xandra, Aislinn, Parker, Carter, Skylar, Haven, Haisley, Mya, and Olivia, with one on the way, Lennox; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Martha was preceded in passing by one son: Samuel “Sammy” Neiswonger; and one daughter: Christina Marie Neiswonger. Family and friends will be received on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 6pm to 8pm, at the Snyder – d’Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851. A second viewing will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, also at the funeral home, from 10am to 11am. A funeral service will be held immediately following the second viewing, beginning at 11am and officiated by Pastor Ken Eddy.
