Marion C. (Weary) Steele, 99, of Falls Creek, PA, passed away during the morning hours of Monday, August 12, 2024, while a resident of The Preserve at Cedarwood in Tyrone, PA. Marion was born on February 12, 1925, to the late John H. and Rachael (Strong) Weary in Central City, PA. She graduated from Beechwoods High School with the Class of 1943. She worked for Sylvania in Brookville, PA, Brockway Glass in Brockway, PA, Merit Plastic in Canton, OH, and Behind the Moon in Falls Creek, PA. She was a member of the Beechwoods Presbyterian Church. Marion loved being with her family and cooking wonderful meals for them. She was famous for her coconut cream pies that everyone loved. She enjoyed spending time in Florida with her daughter every winter. She also enjoyed sewing, crafting, and doing puzzles. She was hard-working and loved cooking and working with her son in the restaurant. Marion’s beautiful smile and spunky personality affected all who knew her. Marion is survived by three children: Lon (Karen) Steele, Diane (John) Gaff, and Dana Steele; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Marion is preceded in passing by one son: Raymond Steele; four sisters: Ruth Kroh, Jean Tudor, Helen Saffel, Sarah Wells; two brothers: John Weary Jr. and Emery Weary; and husband: Elmer Steele. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at the Beechwoods Presbyterian Church, 14 Beechwood Road, Falls Creek, PA 15840, beginning at 11am and officiated by David and Emily Koehler. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Snyder - d'Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851.
