Marie Angeline “Angie” (Moore) Silvis, 91, of Madison OH, originally from Forest County, PA, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022, in Madison, OH. Angie was born on November 19, 1930, in Hottleville PA and she was the daughter of the late Douglas and Rachel (Naylor) Moore. On November 17, 1954, Angie married Guy R. Silvis from Edeburn Hill in Sigel PA and they were married at the preacher's house in Marienville, PA, Forest County. They had two sons, Tom and Brian. Guy was supporting his family as a machinist in Ridgeway. After the plant closed, Angie moved with her family to Mentor, OH, in an effort to find work, that was December 26, 1962. In June of 1965, they moved to Perry, OH. On August 13, 1974, Guy passed away. The family remained in Perry. Angie worked as a cook for the local school district. Later, she worked at what was “Inn Madison”, now named Cardinal Woods. She was a member of Perry Christian Church and the Happy Hookers Rug Makers. Angie loved to go to their farm in PA, and she was known for her apple pie, banana bread, and cookies. She is survived by her two sons; Tom and Lori (Morse) Silvis and Brian and Tammy (Bukky) Silvis; and her brother Bill Moore. In addition to her husband and parents, Angie is preceded in death by her two brothers, Reed and John; and two sisters Connie Brindle and Mildred Everett, they were all from Pennsylvania. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, March 24, 2022, from 5 – 7pm, at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, Ltd, 345 Main St., Brookville PA, 15825. A funeral service will take place on Friday, March 25, 2022, also at the funeral home, beginning at 11:00am, and officiated by Pastor Glenn McQuown.
