Margarite "Margaret" M. Kougher

Margarite “Margaret” M. (Masisak) Kougher, 100, formerly of Reynoldsville, PA, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022, while a resident of Christ the King Manor in DuBois, PA. Born on November 29, 1921, Margaret was the youngest daughter of the late Stephen and Anna (Holdock) Masisak. After high school, Margaret worked for Bell Aircraft near Buffalo, NY, making airplane parts during WWII. After the war, she returned home to marry the love of her life, Herman Kougher on February 16, 1946; Herman preceded her in passing on December 30, 2013. She was very proud to be a full-time homemaker and loving mother. After raising her family, Margaret retired as a custodian at Jeff Tech School in Reynoldsville. In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in passing by one son; Ronald Kougher; two sisters; Anna (Masisak) Ivonowski; Helen (Masisak) King; and five brothers; John Masisak; Steven Masisak; Andrew Masisak; Joseph Masisak; and Frank Masisak. Margaret is survived by one son; Timothy (Wendy) Kougher of Reynoldsville, PA; a special niece; Barbara McMichael of Erie, PA; four grandchildren; Christopher Kougher of Memphis, TN; Jonathan Kougher of Ruckersville, VA; Vaughn Kougher of Reynoldsville; and Trish Stewart of Reynoldsville; and nine great-grandchildren. Margaret was a member of the St Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Reynoldsville where she was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America for 58 years. Family and friends will be received on Monday, January 24, 2022, from 5pm to 8pm at the Snyder – d’Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851. The Rosary will be recited before the viewing begins at 4:30pm by the St. Mary’s Rosary and Altar Society. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 607 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851, beginning at 11:00am and officiated by Father William Barron. Interment will take place at Saint Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Reynoldsville, Jefferson Co., PA. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Christ the King Manor, 1100 W. Long Avenue, DuBois, PA 15801, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
