Linda Sue Cassatt

Linda Sue (Raybuck) Cassatt, 74, of Brookville, PA, passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, while a patient at Penn Highland’s DuBois. Linda was born on May 10, 1947, to the late Clarence and Sally (Hannold) Raybuck in Brookville, PA. She graduated from Brookville Area High School with the Class of 1965. After high school she received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Clarion University and received her Master's Degree in Education from Edinboro University. Linda married Terry Cassatt on March 25, 1967, in Summerville, PA; Terry survives her. Linda taught in Erie Public Schools for 32 years. She enjoyed traveling all the United States with friends and family taking pictures to share with her students in her classroom. She was a book worm and had a passion for reading. Linda was a member of the Lawrence Park United Methodist Church in Erie, PA, Former Board of Directors and Secretary, Eastern Star Pas Matron, Rainbow Circles Mother Advisor, and National Honor Society. In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by daughter; Christine Cassatt Salva; son; David Cassatt; two sisters; Donna Damico; Rose (Jerry) Croasman; two brothers; Richard (Patty) Raybuck; John (Sharon) Raybuck; two grandchildren; Zachary and Katelyn Salva; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her first son, Baby Boy Cassatt. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, December 18, 2021, from 10am – 12pm at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation beginning at 12pm and officiated by Pastor Diane Hetrick. Interment will take place at the Ohl Bethel Lutheran Cemetery in Ohl, Jefferson Co., PA. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Make a Wish, www.wish.org.
