Karen Ann (Bossart) Robl

Karen Ann (Bossart) Robl, 79, of Brookville, PA, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at her home surrounded by family. She was born on September 30, 1943, to the late George Wible and Pearl Rosella (Long) Bossart in Greensburg, PA. George and Mary Mance Bossart raised Karen after Pearl passed away in 1946. She graduated from Hempfield Area High School with the class of 1962. Karen married the love of her life, Wayne Robert Robl, on December 15, 1979, in Youngwood, PA; Wayne survives her. She was a longtime member of the Roseville Church of Christ. Karen was a loving mother, grandmother, wife, and sister, who will be dearly missed by many. In addition to her husband, Karen is survived by five children; Brian Curtis Martin; Robin Leslee (Don) (Martin) Gill; Lance Eric Martin; Annette Marie (Kenneth) (Robl) Nichols; Wayne Robert Robl; two siblings; George “Stick” (Suzann) Bossart; Rosemary (Bossart) Malnofski; eight grandchildren; Madison Gill; Jack Gill; Elizabeth Tuttle; Sandra McCandless; Katlyn Robl; Nathan Robl; Olivia Robl; Jake Robl; and numerous great grandchildren. Karen was preceded in passing by her parents; George Wible Bossart; Pearl Rosella (Long) Bossart; and Mary Mance Bossart. Karen found joy in simply being with her family and loved baking cookies, muffins, and her husband’s favorite cherry pie. She found peace and happiness with a green thumb for growing and arranging beautiful flowers throughout her lifetime. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, from 3pm to 6pm at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825. A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation, beginning at 6pm and officiated by Pastor John Kerr.
