Karen Kaye (Engle) Ashmore, 61, of Reynoldsville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, while at her home. She was born on September 17, 1962, to the late Kay Ellwood and Bonnie Lou (Williams) Engle in Buffalo, NY. Karen graduated from Jeff Tech with the class of 1980 and went on to build a loving and nurturing home, where she expertly cared for her house and raised her beloved children. Karen married Adrian Ashmore on February 17, 2010, in Las Vegas, NV, Adrian preceded her in passing. She was Methodist by faith and a member of the Reynoldsville United Methodist Church. Karen was a simple woman who enjoyed the beautiful things in life. She had a green thumb and was known for her gardening. Karen had a love for traveling, especially when done with her husband and to Las Vegas. Above all else, Karen loved her family deeply and had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by many. Karen is survived by two daughters; Valerie (Edward) Minaya, Nicole Cramer; three stepchildren; Elizabeth Ashmore, Devin Ashmore, Adrian Ashmore Jr.; two siblings; Kathy (Eric) Knepp, Dan (Nancy) Engle; three grandchildren; Hannah Minaya, Jacob Minaya, Elaina Minaya, two step grandchildren; Onawa Ashmore, Antalik Ashmore; and her beloved dog, Bella. In addition to her parents and husband, Karen was preceded in passing by one brother, Mark Engle. Services for Karen will be announced at a later date and have been entrusted to the Snyder – d’Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851.
