Julia Ann (Jack) Lyons, 95, of Reynoldsville, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Penn Highlands Dubois. Julia was born on September 8,1929, to the late Jim and May Jack, in Indiana County. Julia married Charles Alvin Lyons on January 10, 1954, in Reynoldsville; he preceded her in passing on November 20, 1990. She worked at various hotels in the Reynoldsville area including the Imperial Hotel. She also worked as an aid for the Reitz Bus Company and babysat local kids. Julia was a member of the Oakmont Methodist Church when she was a child and then became a member of the First Baptist Church in Reynoldsville. She enjoyed picking berries, especially black berries, cutting the grass and going camping in her pop-up camper with her family. She loved to do seek- a -word puzzles. She enjoyed walking and was known for walking down to Riverside and carrying her bags of groceries home. Julia is survived by two children; Dave (Nanette) Lyons, Linda S. Lyons, one granddaughter; Angel (Luke) Steffy; and two great grandchildren; Samuel C. Steffy, Evelyn G. Steffy. In addition to her husband and parents, Julia is preceded in passing by two brothers: Bill Jack, Aquilla Jack, and one sister Betty Henderson. Family and friends will be received on Monday, January 20, 2025, from 11am – 1pm at the Snyder – d’Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main St. Reynoldsville, PA 15851. A funeral service will take place immediately following the viewing, also at the funeral home, beginning at 1:00pm and officiated by Pastor Robin Fernandez. Memorial contributions can be made in her name to the First Baptist Church, 516 E. Main St. Reynoldsville, PA 15851.
