John E. Lindenpitz, 81, of DuBois, PA, passed away during the late-night hours of Tuesday, September 17, 2024, while a patient at Clarion Hospital in Clarion, PA. John was born on September 28, 1942, to the late Clifford J. and Rachel Madeline (Kirkwood) Lindenpitz in DuBois. He worked as a mechanic and service manager at Johnson Motors which then became Spitzer’s for over 60 years. He was also a certified master mechanic. On January 6, 1962, John married the love of his life, Arlene Francis Harris; Arlene preceded him in passing. John who was better known as “Papa John” was a man that always put everyone else’s needs ahead of his own. He was always there to help anyone in need and had a heart of gold. John had a love for racing and was always very supportive of Ron and Johnny during their racing careers. He was also very supportive of Rylee’s passion for dance. For those who knew him, he could fix anything, and his advice was priceless. John is going to be greatly missed by those who were lucky enough to have him in their lives. John is survived by two sons: John T. (Lisa McManigle) Lindenpitz of Brookville, and Ronald J. (Heather) Lindenpitz of Brookville; one sister: Ruth Ann Harris of Reynoldsville; four grandchildren: John R. Lindenpitz, Ryanne R. Riddle, Rylee C. Lindenpitz, and Kate G. Myers. John is also survived by three great-grandchildren: Luka Lindenpitz, Colton Riddle, and Wyatt Riddle. In addition to his wife and parents, John is preceded in passing by two brothers: William K. Lindenpitz and David A. Lindenpitz; and two sisters-in-law: Judith A. Lindenpitz and Betty L. Lindenpitz. Family and friends will be received on Friday, September 20, 2024, from 4pm to 8pm at the Snyder – d’Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, also at the funeral home, beginning at 10am. Interment will take place at Reynoldsville Cemetery, Winslow Twp., Jefferson Co., PA.
