Jane E. Ellenberger, 93, formerally of Reynoldsville, a resident of DuBois Village, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 28, 2025.
She was born on October 20, 1931, in Rockton, PA. On May 26, 1956, she married the late Burnett Ellenberger of Reynoldsville; Burnett preceded her in passing on December 15, 1966.
Jane graduated from Sandy High School DuBois with the Class of 1950. She worked at Riverside Bilo for over 30 years as their deli manager. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Reynoldsville.
Jane loved polka dancing, cruises, traveling, working in her flower gardens, and listening to Neil Diamond and Elvis. She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren and was known for her great cooking. She loved cooking Sunday and holiday dinners, making sure no one ever went hungry.
Jane is survived by two sons: Michael (Stephanie) Ellenberger of Falls Creek and Craig Ellenberger of Reynoldsville; two grandchildren: Michelle (Christopher) Henderson of Mexico, Bryan Michael (Tara) Ellenberger of Reynoldsville; and three great-grandchildren: Dylan Michael LeCates of Falls Creek, Carter Michael Lecates of Brockway, and Andrew Michael Ellenberger of Reynoldsville. She survived by siblings: Bob (Louise) Ross, Judy (Jack) Amick, and Rahn (Lori) Ross; and two brothers-in-law: Bill Hoversten and John DeGrandes.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jane is preceded in passing by two sisters: Netta Hoversten and Georgia DeGrandes.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 11am to 1pm at the Reynoldsville First Methodist Church, 504 Jackson Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851. A funeral service will take place immediately following the viewing, also at the church, beginning at 1pm, and officiated by Pastor Becky Edwards. Interment will take place at Lakelawn Memorial Park, Winslow Twp., Jefferson Co., PA.
