Jacqueline McCauley Fetzer, age 103, of Brookville, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 16, 2023, with family by her side. Jacqueline was born in North East, Cecil County, Maryland, on May 23, 1920, the daughter of the late Charles Otis and Mildred (Garey) McCauley. She resided in Perry Point, MD for twenty two years. In 1942, she married Richard Scott Fetzer, they were happily married for sixty three wonderful years before his passing on March 31, 2005. They had five children; Dan (Carol Maero) Fetzer; Ronda (Dennis) Miller; David Fetzer; Janet Jones; Catherine Rushinski; and many grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Jacqueline was preceded in passing by one daughter in law Chrystal Bell Fetzer; one brother; and two sisters. Jacqueline graduated from Juniata College in Huntington, PA, and received a Master’s degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She taught Home Economics at Cecil County, MD, and at Brookville High School until her retirement. She was involved in the Presbyterian Church, Girl Scouts, crafts, genealogy, and travel activities. Jacqueline also enjoyed daily exercise walking around Brookville. “She will be deeply missed by all who knew her; may she rest in peace with God and family.” Her service will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Services have been entrusted to the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Brookville Presbyterian Church, 100 White Street, Brookville, PA 15825 or a charity of the donors choice.
