Helen Faye Fleming, aged 105, of Brookville, PA passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on July 2, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at Brookside Senior Living facility in Brookville, PA. Born March 30, 1920, in Corsica, PA, she was the daughter of Gene and Alice Martz and was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald L. Fleming and a beloved daughter, Donna Faye Smith. She is survived by a sister, Lois Henry of Northeast, PA, two children, Carol Ann Sheats and husband Richard of Ligonier, PA and Howard Fleming and wife Sandra of Brookville, PA.
Faye had seven grandchildren who dearly loved her: Kelly, Brenda, Diane, Melanie, Jeff, Chad, and Matt. She also had 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
One of Faye's earliest jobs was in an airplane factory in Buffalo, NY during World War II. Later, she worked as a seamstress and even made clothing for her children. She had a gift for working with numbers and became a bookkeeper at several businesses in the area. She loved crocheting, reading, attending church, playing cards, and Bingo. Fishing was especially fun for her. She caught her last rainbow trout, while in a wheelchair at Walter Dick Memorial Park when she was 104.
At Faye's request, there will be no funeral services. She has chosen to have a celebration of life memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in her memory to Brookside Senior Living Facility, 49 Brookside Lane, Brookville, PA.
