Heather Lynn Cook

Heather Lynn Cook, 29, of Rossiter, PA, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, while at her home. She was born on January 25, 1994, to Roy Franklin and Debora Lynn (Heinzl) Cook in Cook County, IL. She attended the Rennaisance Academy in Virginia Beach and also received nursing education from Southwest University. Heather was known for her position at Boulevard Pizza in Virginia Beach. She previously attended the Methodist Church in Punxsutawney. Heather was an incredibly social person who had a way of capturing the attention of everyone in the room. She was known for her animated way of expressing and conversating, making every story or anecdote that much more exciting. She also enjoyed the quieter things in life and was known for her appreciation of the outdoors. Rock collecting, fossil finding, bird watching, and metal detecting are just a few of the hobbies she picked up during her enjoyment of nature. Heather was strong willed, endlessly loving and empathetic, she was happy to give anyone in need the shirt off her back or food off her plate. She loved her family the most and had a very special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews. Heather will be dearly missed by those closest to her. In addition to her parents, Heather is survived by two sisters; Mary (Matthew) Heinzl Hatch; Jennifer Lee (Daniel) Wyman; two nephews; Parker Wyman; Benjmain Wyman; and three nieces; Kailyn Wyman; Madeline Wyman; and Cassidy Cerna. Heather was preceded in passing by her uncle and aunt; Eugene and Susan Madden; and her maternal and paternal grandparents. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, October 22, 2023, from 12pm to 2pm at the Fait – d’Argy Funeral Home, 117 N. Jefferson St., Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
