Glenda L. (Mowrey) Thompson

Glenda L. (Mowrey) Thompson, 67, of Reynoldsville, PA, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023, while a patient at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Glenda was born on November 26, 1955, to the late Robert Daniel and Edna Elizabeth (Moore) Mowrey in DuBois, PA. She graduated from Brockway Area High School with the Class of 1973 and then received her Licensed Practical Nurse from Jeff Tech in Reynoldsville. Glenda worked as an LPN at the DuBois Hospital and Christ the King Manor. She also worked at K. Mart in Leesburg, VA and Walmart in Bedford, DuBois, and Clarion, PA. Glenda married William E. Thompson III on May 28, 1977, in Falls Creek, PA; William survives her. She was a member of the Rathmel Baptist Church. Glenda enjoyed reading and writing along with photography and crafts. She also enjoyed traveling. Glenda is survived by three brothers; Edward Mowrey; Walter Mowrey; Allen Mowrey; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Glenda is preceded in passing by two sisters; Carol Reed and Norma Jean Strouse; and one brother; James Mowrey. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 11am to 12:30pm at the Snyder – d’Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851. A funeral service will take place immediately following the viewing, also at the funeral home, beginning at 12:30pm and officiated by Pastor Ken Eddy.
