Gerald Murray Obituary

Gerald “Jerry” Lee Murray, 88, of Falls Creek, PA, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022, while a resident of Christ the King Manor in DuBois, PA. Jerry was born on November 28, 1934, to the late Gerald E. and Rosella (DeRolf) Murray in DuBois. He graduated from the DuBois Area High School with the Class of 1953. Jerry worked for Triangle Auto Springs in the shipping department. Jerry married Esther R. (Ericson) Murray on February 20, 1954, in Ridgway, PA; Esther preceded him in passing exactly three years ago on December 5, 2019. Jerry was a simple man who enjoyed hunting and camping. He also enjoyed reading a good western book. Jerry loved to visit with family and friends. Jerry is survived by one daughter; Donna (Terry) King of Falls Creek, PA; two grandchildren; Jodi (Rick) August of Reynoldsville, PA; Jerry (Amy) King of Reynoldsville, PA; and one sister; Sheri (Leonard) Carlson of Falls Creek, PA. Jerry is also survived by four great – grandchildren; Braydon King, Marissa King, Derek August, and Amanda August all of Reynoldsville. In addition to his parents and wife, Jerry is preceded in passing by one daughter; Nancy Murray; and one brother; Donald E. Murray. All services will be held privately to the family and have been entrusted to the Snyder – d’Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851.
