Frances Catanzarito Tattersall, 90, of Brookville, PA, passed away on March 9, 2025. Born on October 5, 1934, in Punxsutawney, she was the daughter of the late Michael A. Catanzarito and Mary Louise Steigers Catanzarito.
Frances was a woman of deep faith and unwavering devotion. She was a longtime member of The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Brookville, where she found great joy in teaching religious education, singing in the choir, and being a member of the Secular Franciscan Order. Her love for the Blessed Mother was evident in her daily recitation of the Rosary.
On June 1, 1957, she married the love of her life, Dickson M. Tattersall, and together they built a family rooted in love and faith. Frances is survived by her son, Michael C. Tattersall of Brookville, PA, and her daughter, Michele M. Imes of Punxsutawney, PA. She was a beloved grandmother to Alicia Travis and Emily (Lorne) Hyskell and a proud great-grandmother to Theodore Hyskell.
Frances shared a close bond with her siblings, Joseph (Donna) Sutton, Mary Lou (Dave) McConnaughey, Dominic (Becky) Catanzarito, and Catherine (Joel) Kyser. She was recently preceded in death by her husband, Dickson on January 16, 2025. She is also preceded in passing by her daughter, Charlene A. Tattersall; her parents; her brothers, Michael and John Catanzarito; and her nephews, David, Benny, and Sean McConnaughey.
She lived a life full of joy and laughter. Frances had a passion for cultural activities, music, and dancing. Her sense of humor and ability to bring smiles to those around her will be deeply missed. Above all, she loved her family dearly, especially her cat, “Stubby boy.”
Family and friends will be received for a visitation on Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 129 Graham Ave, Brookville, PA 15825, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. Final interment will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery, Rose Township, Jefferson County, PA.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to McKinney - d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Brookville, PA 15825.
