Douglas P. King, 75, of Reynoldsville, PA, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025, while a resident of the DuBois Nursing Home in DuBois, PA. Douglas was born on October 21, 1949, to the late Porter L. and Doris “Jean” (Murray) King in Reynoldsville. He graduated from DuBois Area High School with the Class of 1968. He continued his education at a technical school in Pittsburgh, PA for drafting. Douglas married the love of his life, Mary Lou (Sedlock) King, on July 28, 1979; Mary preceded him in passing on April 25, 2007. Douglas worked for Brockway Glass as a Draftsman in the arts department from 1970 to 1988. He then owned and operated Kings Custom Framing and Antiques. He also drove van for Jewel’s Bussing and worked in the custom framing department at Michaels and Hobby Lobby. He was a member of the Eagles, Sandy Club, Pulaski, the VFW, and the American Legion. He enjoyed his social clubs where he would get to see his friends and sign the book. He enjoyed framing and photography and was a movie fanatic, collecting over 2000 DVD’s. He also enjoyed shooting skeet with different shooting clubs in the area. Above all else, loved his family and getting to spend time with them. Douglas is survived by one sister: Laurie (Arman) Bonante; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Douglas was preceded in passing by one brother: Brian Hanst; and step-father: John W. Hanst. Family and friends will be received on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 2pm to 5pm, at the Snyder – d’Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851. A funeral service will be held immediately following the viewing, beginning at 5pm, and officiated by Rev. Becky Edwards. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to a charity of the donor’s choice. Interment will take place at Lakelawn Memorial Park, Winslow Twp., Jefferson Co., PA.
