Donald E. Hannah was born on July 14, 1936, in Reynoldsville, PA. He was the son of the late Clyde E. Hannah and Faye (Henery) Hannah. Donald married Mary (Liedl) Hannah on October 2, 1971; Mary survives him. Donald was a lifelong resident of Reynoldsville. He graduated from Reynoldsville High School as a member of the Class of 1954. He went on to attend the DuBois Business College for further education. Donald was a member of the St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Reynoldsville. He was also a member of the John M. Reed Lodge #536, Free and Accepted Mason’s also in Reynoldsville. He also served in the United States Army as personnel specialist (spec. 4) with the 590th Transportation Company in Germany from 1959 to 1962. Donald returned in the 1960’s to his hometown, working for various companies as a salesman for Babcock Lumbar, Pittsburgh Plate Glass, and A.T. McClure Glass. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, camping, golfing, going to the casino, and being “Papa Don” to his beloved family. In addition to his wife, Donald is survived by two children, Ronald (Cheryl) Hannah of Reynoldsville, PA and Susan (Chris) Custaney of Clearfield, PA. He is also survived by five grandchildren; Madison Hannah, Haley Custaney, Connor Custaney, Colby Custaney, and Justin Neeper; and one great-grandson; Parker Neeper. Donald passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, March 13, 2023, during the evening hours at Christ the King Manor. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. “We will love you Papa, and you will be in our hearts forever and always.” Family and friends will be received on Thursday, March 16, 2023, from 3pm to 7pm at the Snyder – d’Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851. A Rosary Society Service will be held before the viewing, beginning at 2:30pm. A second viewing will take place on Friday, March 17, 2023, also at the Snyder – d’Argy Funeral Home from 8:30am to 9:30am. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place immediately following the second viewing on Friday, March 17, 2023, at the St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 607 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851, beginning at 10am and officiated by Father Ben Daghir. Military honors will be rendered by the DuBois Area Honor Guard. Interment will take place at Morningside Cemetery, DuBois, Clearfield Co., PA. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Christ the King Manor, 1100 W Long Ave, DuBois, PA 15801.
