Diane Katherine Knapp

Diane Katherine Knapp, 71, of Brookville, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, while at her home with her loving partner of 23 years, Gary Cable, by her side. Diane was born on June 13, 1952, to the late Jack and Eileen (Holtz) Rice, in Tonawanda, NY. She was also a member of the Brookville C&MA Church. Diane married Larry Alvin Knapp; Larry preceded her in passing on September 17, 1997. She was a hard worker and worked for PA Memorial Home for 32 years in the Dietary Department in Brookville, PA. Diane put her family before anything else. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Diane enjoyed spending time with her family or spending time at home with Gary. In addition to her partner, Diane is survived by daughter; Michelle (Knapp) Smith; son-in-law; Joseph Smith; sister; Linda Rice; three grandchildren; Ashley Aaron; Ryan Marshall; Colton Smith; and three great-grandchildren; Haiden; Kamren; and Natalie. In addition to her parents and husband, Diane is preceded in passing by five siblings; Randy Rice; Bob Rice; Jack Rice; Karen Rice; and Darlene Torres. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825, from 1pm to 3pm. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 17, 2023, also at the funeral home, beginning at 10am and officiated by Pastor Ray Baker. Interment will take place at Lakelawn Memorial Park, Winslow Twp., Reynoldsville, Jefferson Co., PA.
