David "Dave" Lee Snell

David Lee Snell, 62, of Brookville, PA, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, surrounded by family while at his home. He was born on July 18, 1961, to the late Andrew “Pete” Joseph and Wanda Louise (Douthit) Snell in Brookville. He graduated from Brookville High School with the class of 1979 and went on to become a Journeyman with the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union, Local 354, where he worked for thirty-nine years; retiring in July of 2023. Dave married the love of his life, Kelly Ann Gluth on May 31, 1986, in Brookville; Kelly survives him. Dave was a lifelong hunter and shared his knowledge with all his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing, especially when taking trips to Canada with family and friends. When not enjoying the great outdoors, camping, and kayaking, you could find him in the garden or with his family. He loved riding ATV’s with his grandsons, sled riding, hunting, and fishing on his sister’s farm. He was a people person who made friends with everyone. He loved all seasons but had a specific enjoyment for Halloween and fabricating his own costumes. The most important thing to Dave was spending time with his family, especially his beloved wife of nearly thirty-eight years. Dave will be dearly missed by many. In addition to his wife, Dave is survived by three children; Ashley (Jake) McKenna; Craig (Amanda) Snell; Logan (Caleb) Singleton; many nieces and nephews that he cherished as his own; three grandchildren; Brayden McKenna; Easton Snell; Orin Singleton; one brother; Joseph (Brenda) Snell; one sister; Kathy (Ed) Strawley; and two brothers-in-law; Rick (Susie) Gluth; and David (Ann) Gluth. Dave was preceded in passing by his parents. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, December 30, 2023, from 12pm to 3:33pm at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825.
