David L. Barnes

David L. Barnes, 75, of Reynoldsville, PA, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, while at his home. He was born on April 6, 1948, to the late Lloyd Leroy and Doris Bollinger (Hurt) Barnes in Alliance, OH. David graduated from Brookville Area High School with the class of 1966. He proudly served his country with the United State Marine Corps from 1967 to 1972 during the Vietnam War, where he worked as an aircraft mechanic on F4 Phantoms. After an honorable discharge, David went to Aeronautics School and began working for Trans World Airlines, continuing his mechanic work on large commercial planes, including Boeing 747s. After the TWA, David worked for Brockway Glass for twenty years until his retirement in 2003. David loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and he will be dearly missed by many. David is survived by two sons; Brent L. Barnes; Eric Barnes; four grandchildren; Courtney Barnes; Chad Barnes; Megan Barnes; Christopher Forest; one brother; Jeff (Linda) Barnes; one sister; Karen (Dave) Nesbitt; and six great grandchildren.
