Our beloved parents, Betty Jane (Mack) Rhodes and Clair Lorraine Rhodes passed away after 68 years of marriage in Boynton Beach, Florida. Betty J. Rhodes, 92, went to heaven on Monday, November 14, 2022, and Clair L. Rhodes, 92, joined Betty in heaven only 28 days later on Monday December 12, 2022. They both lived full and happy lives. Betty was born September 18, 1930, in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania to Albert and Edith Mack. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and playing cards. Clair was born August 3, 1930, in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania to William and Blanch Rhodes. He enjoyed bowling and playing cards. Clair was a veteran of the Korean war. After the war he delivered milk in Punxsutawney PA to the restaurant where Betty worked as a waitress. They fell in love and were married in 1954. As a couple Clair and Betty’s love for one another was inseparable. They moved from Pennsylvania with their two children Jerry and Bob to Buffalo NY, then back to PA then to Syracuse New York in the early 1960’s. Their third son David was born in Syracuse, NY. When they retired in early 1990, they moved to Boynton Beach, Florida to be close to their three sons. They are survived by their son Bob Rhodes and Rene, Boca Raton, and son David Rhodes and his wife Karen, Lake Worth, and four Grandsons; Bobby, Nathan, Chad, and Brandon, one Granddaughter Katelyn, and 5 great Grandchildren; Hayley, Madison, Logan, Charlotte, and Fitzgerald. Clair is also survived by his sisters, Carrie Gaston, Eleanor Depp, and Millie Woods and her husband Joe. They were predeceased by their beloved son Jerry who passed away in June 2020, Betty was predeceased by her brother Albert (Jim) Mack, sisters Emma Setree, and Shirley McKee. Clair was predeceased by his brothers William and Blair, sister Ruth Roberts. Family and friends will be received on January 6, 2023, from 5 to 8 pm at Fait - d'Argy Funeral Home, 117 North Jefferson St., Punxsutawney, PA 15767. A funeral service will take place on January 7, 2023, at 11 am at Zion Presbyterian Church, 215 Summit Rd., Reynoldsville, PA 15851.
