Cheryl Costello

Cheryl Ann (Bonicalzi) Costello, 63, of Punxsutawney, PA, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023, while a patient at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. She was born on June 11, 1960, to the late Louis and Emma Jean (Seger) Bonicalzi in Washington, D.C. Cheryl graduated from high school in 1978 and went on to hold positions at a nursing home and as a bus driver. She married Donald Glenn Costello in Punxsutawney in 1996; Donald survives her. Cheryl is also survived by two children; Shawn Michael Costello; Lisa Marie Gilliam; one grandchild; Gabriel Michael Gilliam; and two siblings; Louis (Beth Shaffer) Bonicalzi; and Sandra (Eddie) Crouse. Cheryl loved to go out, especially when shopping was involved. Shopping was her passion, and you never really knew what she might come home with. Above all else, Cheryl loved her children and grandchild and was devoted to them. Cheryl and her family are forever grateful for the friends and family who helped throughout her illness. She will be dearly missed by many. Services will be held privately to the family and have been entrusted to the Fait – d’Argy Funeral Home, 117 N. Jefferson St., Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
