Charlotte Marie Ames

Charlotte Marie Ames, 76, died on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital, in DuBois, PA. Charlotte was born on March 5, 1949, to the late George “Jim” and Dorothea June (Rowan) Ames in Brookville, PA. Charlotte graduated from Brookville Area Highschool with the class of 1967. She then went on to attend Stautzenberger College and earned an associate’s degree. Charlotte worked in long haul trucking where she found her love driving the highways and back roads of this great country.  She enjoyed crocheting and reading. She loved all animals including dogs, cats, and watching hummingbirds. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and meeting new people. Charlotte is survived by two sons: Shane Avery (Beverly) Rollan of Fairfield, IL, and Kirk Arthur (Luwanda) Rollan of Olanta, PA; nine grandchildren: Sara (Manuel) Zapato, Jonathan (Sarah) Rollan, Kirk Rollan Jr., Kristen (Zach) Buehrer, Shannon (Jordan) Bradley, Jacy Rollan, Aden Rollan, Brandon (Whitney) Armagost, Ashley (Joe) Fenstermaker; and four great grandchildren: Abby Rollan, Savannah Rollan, Waylon Buehrer, Gracelyn Armagost. In addition to her parents, Charlotte is preceded in death by her husband: Chester A. Rollan Jr.; one son: Ryan Rollan; grandson: Donny Rollan; and sister: Patricia Jones. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Brookville, PA 15825.
