Charles Edward Wells Sr.

Charles Edward Wells Sr., 84, of Punxsutawney, PA, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023, with his loving wife by his side, while at his home. Charles was born on January 7, 1939, to the late Fred and Ida (Johnston) Wells in DuBois, PA. Charles married Lila Bair, on March 4, 2014, in Deland, FL; Lila survives him. He loved western movies, the Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers, and Penguins. Charles also enjoyed his daily walks around Punxsutawney. In addition to his wife, Charles is survived by three sons; Charles (Sandy) Wells Jr., of Perry, OH; Daryl (Terri) Wells of Madison, OH; Edward (Amber) Wells of Manchester, MO; three step-children; Mark (Penny) Adams of Lewiston, NY; Lisa Colpoys of Punxsutawney; John (Staci) Adams of Mifflintown, PA; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in passing by nine siblings. All services will be held privately to the family and have been entrusted to the Fait – d’Argy Funeral Home, 117 N. Jefferson Street, Punxsutawney, PA 15767. Final interment will take place at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Punxsutawney, Jefferson Co., PA.
