Catherine June (Kauffman) Wolfe, 83, of Punxsutawney, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 28, 2024, while a resident of the McKinley Health Center in Brookville, PA. Catherine was born on May 21, 1941, to the late H. Clayton and Catherine Mae (Lee) Kauffman in Mahaffey, PA. She graduated from the Punxsutawney Area School District. Catherine married the love of her life Glen Timothy Wolfe. Catherine and her husband owned and operated AMCO and Wolfe’s Garage in Punxsutawney until retirement. She was a member of the St. Peter’s Church in Punxsutawney. Catherine was a “go get-er” and enjoyed staying busy. She was very artistic and loved to paint, color, draw, and do ceramics. Catherine also loved to spend time reading. She enjoyed raising her grandchildren and teaching them how to garden. She was a very supportive person and loved her grandchildren. Catherine was from a large family and had six sisters and five brothers. Catherine is survived by two daughters: Terry Wolfe and Rita Poerio; three grandchildren: Ty (Hailee) Berringer, McKenzie Berringer, and Cheyenne Berringer. Catherine is also survived by great-grandson: Sebastian and one great-grandson one the way: Weston. Catherine is preceded in passing by her parents and husband. All services will be held privately to the family and have been entrusted to the Fait – d’Argy Funeral Home, 117 N. Jefferson St., Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
