Blanche Irene Weary

Blanche Irene (Dickey) Weary, 90, of Brookville, PA, passed away during the evening hours of Wednesday, December 29, 2021, while a resident at the McKinley Health Center, in Brookville, PA. Blanche was born on March 26, 1931, to the late Harry A. and Blanche N. (Wayland) Dickey in Reynoldsville, PA. She attended the Reynoldsville Area School District. On September 14, 1947, Blanche married John H. Weary Jr. in Reynoldsville, PA; he preceded her in passing. She worked at Slyvania for two years, Wes Kings American Hotel for twenty-five years, and In Home Solutions for ten years. Blanche attended Flowing Water Outreach in Brookville, Breakthru Church in DuBois, and Grace Lutheran Church in Brookville. She loved spending time with her family. Blanche is survived by four children; Janet I. Barnett; Larry E. Weary; Joyce McKnight; Nancy Ann Weary; three siblings; Zelma Mowery Smith; Harold E. Dickey; and Doris J. Biggie. In addition to her parents and husband, Blanche is preceded in death by son, Thomas Weary. Services will be held privately according to the families wishes and have been entrusted to the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Rebecca M. Arthurs Memorial Library, 223 Valley St., Brookville, PA 15825.
