Beverly Ann Brown, 62, of Brookville, died Monday, January 20, 2025, at the Brookville Hospital.
Beverly "Bev" was born in the Brookville Hospital on June 6, 1962. She lived in Brookville her entire life. She was the daughter of Norma R. and Harry H. Brown. She has been living with her mother in the family home for the past 25 years.
Bev graduated from the Brookville High School and, during her younger years, worked as a Housekeeper at the Clarion River Lodge.
Those who knew Bev experienced her as a friendly, kind person who enjoyed “visiting” with neighbors and friends. She looked forward to the nice weather so she could visit the Fair or take a walk downtown to watch the people and talk with some friends. She enjoyed going for rides in the car, shopping, eating out, and sitting on the porch watching the animals and birds in the yard. She loved Snuggles, the indoor cat, and Fluffy, the outdoor cat she adopted. Fluffy came by daily to sit with Bev on the porch and get some breakfast and dinner. She liked to talk to her family and friends on the telephone, listen to her radio, and enjoyed watching videos and looking at photos of her nieces, nephews, and grand-niece and grand-nephews. Bev was a devoted “card-sender.” She rarely missed a family member’s birthday or anniversary and sent cards and a few dollars to the “kids” for almost every holiday.
Those surviving Bev are her mother, Norma Brown; her sister Kathi (Keith) Witt; her brother Jeff (Kelly) Brown; nephews Korey (Kristy) Witt; Kody (Kathleen) Witt; niece Calley Brown; and grand-nephews and grand-niece Konnor, Issac, Wesley, and Kateri.
In addition to her father, Harry H. Brown, Bev was preceded in death by her son, Justin.
A family memorial service will be held in the spring, with interment at the Center Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hard Times Thrift Store (Mayport, PA), or a charity of choice.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825. Online condolences and other information may be found by visiting www.dargyfh.com
