Barbara Kay (Myers) Sharp, 74, of Brookville, PA, passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021, while a patient at UPMC Magee-Women’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. She was born on April 7, 1946, to the late John and Hazel (Plyler) Myers in Heathville, PA. Barbara graduated from Brookville High School and went on to hold multiple jobs around Brookville. Barbara married Robert James Sharp, fifty-seven years ago, on November 14th; Robert preceded her in passing. She worked for Sylvania and the Moonlite Drive In as well as holding multiple positions as a cook at The Meeting Place and the Eagles Club in Brookville. She was a past member of the Brookville Fraternal Order of Eagles #983. Barbara had a loving care for all living things, especially animals, and had a special place in her heart for dogs. She will be dearly missed by those close to her. Barbara is survived by four children; Michael James Sharp; Marsha Kay (Ronald) Heller; Melissa (Michael Carnahan) Sharp; Mark Allen Sharp; and one grandchild; Ryan Sharp. In addition to her parents and husband, Barbara was preceded in passing by two brothers; Tucker Myers; Bill Myers; one sister; Mary Lou Bowley; and her beloved dog; Patty, who passed in 2020. Services will be held privately and have been entrusted to the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825.
