Barbara Evelyn Guthrie Henry, 85, of Melbourne Florida, died Wednesday October 22, 2025, at home after a lengthy illness. Born August 16, 1940, in Kane Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late David F. and Eva A. (Motter) Guthrie of Marienville.
Mrs. Henry graduated from East Forrest High School in Marienville. She also graduated from a Business school in Pittsburgh. She worked as a secretary for many years and retired from Sheetz in Clarion. She attended Scotch Hill United Methodist Church and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star of Marienville. She enjoyed watching NASCAR, reading, traveling, crocheting, fishing, country music and anything to do with Elvis Presley.
Mrs. Henry is survived by the following children: Mark Deitz and his wife, Patricia of Melbourne FL, Blaine A. (Butch) Henry of Leeper, Pam Henry of Hubbard, OH, Marie Paroz and her husband, Terry of Hubbard, OH, Gary Henry of Leeper, Todd Henry and his wife, Vikki of Brookville, Jannifer Wick of Chesapeake VA. She is also survived by her niece Peggy Baden and her husband, Jim of Leland NC, 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Henry was preceded in death by her husband, Blaine A. Henry and her brother and sister-in-law Dave and Maree Guthrie of Marienville Pennsylvania.
Friends and family may visit from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home in Brookville PA. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Andy Blystone officiating. Interment will be at Mount Tabor Cemetery in Sigel PA.
The family suggests memorials be made to Scotch Hill United Methodist Church.
