Barbara Ethelda Cooper, 80, of Reynoldsville, PA, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025. Barbara was born on October 24, 1944, to the late Ronald L. and Sarah V. (Douthit) Halowell in Wishaw, PA. She was a 1962 graduate of the Reynoldsville – Sykesville High School. She was an office employee for several of the local businesses in the area. Barbara married LeRoy Cooper on November 27, 1965; LeRoy preceded her in passing on March 17, 1984. Barbara was protestant by faith. She enjoyed reading, camping, and sewing. Above all else, she loved spending time her with her family. Barbara is survived by two sons: Scott Cooper and Shawn (Therese) Cooper; three daughters: Michelle (Ron) Durbin, April (Jeff Jewell) Cooper, and Shannon (Eddie) Whitesell; one brother: Larry Halowell; and one sister: Dixie Lerch. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Barbara is preceded in passing by one granddaughter: Lauryn; and one brother: Jeffery Halowell. Family and friends will be received on Monday, June 2, 2025, from 11am to 1pm, at the Snyder – d’Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851. A funeral service will take place immediately following the viewing, also at the funeral home, beginning at 1pm, and officiated by Pastor Jim Fillhart.
