Alice May (Reiter) Hicks

Alice May (Reiter) Hicks, 83, of Falls Creek, PA, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, while a resident at Highland View Healthcare and Rehab in Brockway, PA. She was born on May 26, 1940, to the late Lawrence and Verna (MaKee) Reiter in Reynoldsville, PA. She attended Reynoldsville High School and married Donald Clyde Hicks on October 21, 1959, in Brookville, PA; Donald preceded her in passing on February 28, 2013. Alice was a loving mother and wife who spent most of her time enjoying her family and keeping them in line.  She was a member of the Falls Creek Volunteer Fire Department. Alice enjoyed completing puzzles and collecting turtles, she had a large collection of different kinds of turtles from saltshakers and figurines to everything in between. Alice also loved taking scenic rides with Donald, who was known for finding the most exciting route to reach a destination, no matter the length. They specifically loved visiting family and friends on their many drives. Alice will be dearly missed by many who are happy she is riding again with Donald. Alice is survived by three daughters; Donna (Raymond) Hays; Penny (William) Anderson; Jean Vionito; six grandchildren; Patricia; Danielle; Nickie; Billie Jo; Andrew; Joseph; and eighteen great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Alice was preceded in passing by one granddaughter: Jennifer. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 10am to 11am at the Snyder – d’Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation, beginning at 11:00am and officiated by Pastors David and Emily Koehler. Interment will take place at Lakelawn Memorial Park, Winslow Twp., Jefferson Co., PA.
